Elisa Lopez, LCSW-S
Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Supervisor
Hello. My name is Elisa Lopez, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Supervisor. I was born and raised in a small border town in the RGV and earned my degrees at UTPA in Edinburg, Texas. I have been passionate about working with marginalized individuals throughout my career and continue to prioritize the people of the Rio Grande Valley, with a strong focus on
our Mexican American population. It is my honor to focus my efforts on providing such vital services to our individuals and communities.
I have extensive experience with assessment, diagnosis and treatment of individuals suffering from emotional and mental health disorders, substance use disorders, marital discord, domestic violence, immigration trauma - children, adolescents, adults and geriatric individuals and/or families. I also have experience working in inpatient psychiatric facilities, intensive outpatient drug and alcohol treatment and a partial-hospitalization program for individuals struggling to manage a variety of mental health disorders and compliance with treatment and/or medication regimens.
My experience with psycho-social assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge planning, individual, group and family counseling, psychoeducation, support groups and community resource referrals began in 1996 and has progressively developed throughout a broad wealth of diverse treatment environments and client populations.
I am happy to provide information about the treatment process and explore available options that may offer guidance and/or support in your journey to a healthier, happier YOU!
