Brenda Martinez, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Hi, I'm Brenda Martinez, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My goal is to create a supportive and comfortable space where you feel heard, understood, and able to show up as yourself without judgement. Together, we'll work thorugh life's challenges while building the tools and confidence to move forward.
I earned my Master's degree in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake Univeristy in 2019 with a specialization in Services to Hispanic Children and Families. My approach to therapy is gentle, collaborative, and grounded in authenticity. I believe therapy should feel both supportive and empowering, and I work with clients to build healthy coping skills while also creating space to process emotions and life experiences at their own pace. I tailor therapy to each person's unique needs by drawing from evidence based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness, and techniques informed by my EMDR Basic Training, which I will continue to work to expand on through ongoing proffessional development, allowing me to integrate trauma informed interventions when they are clinically appropriate.
As a bilingual therapist, I provide services in both English and Spanish and strive to create a safe, welcoming, space for all clients.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and going fishing.
